When the body dissolves into stillness : A BCST Experience of oneness

A deeply moving reflection from a Pediatrician and BCST practitioner Dr. Manasa Pola , sharing her lived experience of tides, fluid presence, and the moment where separation dissolves into oneness.

A session that began at the feet, gently unfolding through sacral and cervical holds, opened into something far beyond technique.

As the session deepened, there were subtle adjustments across the face, muscles, and ligaments. The body began to reorganize itself, eventually settling into a whole-body Cranial Rhythmic Impulse (CRI), and from there, into midtide.

In that state, the body no longer felt solid.

It felt fluid, as though filled with and surrounded by a soft, supportive presence—like being held in water. There was a profound sense of lightness, as if floating in a vast, quiet space. Subtle adjustments continued around the neck, and then even those dissolved into stillness.

Then, something shifted !

The inhalation and exhalation of the whole body became very slow—expansive, almost imperceptible.

A shimmering potency began to emerge, both within and beyond.

With each gentle cycle, there was a sense of expansion. The boundaries of the body softened, then blurred, and gradually disappeared. It felt as though the body was no longer contained, but had expanded to fill the entire room.

At one point, Pooja’s body felt small, while the experience of “self” felt vast and limitless. Soon, there was no clear distinction between inside and outside.

Only presence.Only potency.

There arose a direct experience that Pooja and I were not separate, but part of one continuous field—expanding, alive, and deeply interconnected. There was a soft golden light, more concentrated at the center and gently diffusing outward, filling the entire space.

There were no thoughts !

Only stillness.A deep, calm presence.A quiet aliveness that is difficult to put into words.

A gentle knowing emerged: Everything is one consciousness. Not as a concept, but as a lived reality !

Time seemed to dissolve into slow waves of expansion and contraction, as if the whole room was breathing.

Gradually, awareness returned to the body—still filled with a sense of fluid glow and quiet presence.

With gentle guidance from Pooja, movement returned—first to the toes, then the fingers. Orientation followed, and the session slowly came to a close.

What remained was a sense of peace, expansiveness, and something profoundly transformative.

The above reflection has been shared by Dr. Manasa, pediatrician and BCST practitioner, based on her personal experience during the session. As a BCST therapist, I hold these spaces with deep respect—honouring the body as it restores, reorganises, and reveals its inherent wholeness.
